There are as many types of massages as there are cultures, with many sub-types within those. A few of the more popular forms available in America:
Swedish Massage employs long strokes, kneading and friction on the more superficial layers of muscles with active and passive joint movement. Used primarily for a full body session, promotes general relaxation and improves circulation and mobility.
Deep Tissue Massage is a wide variety of deep compressions and strokes to specific muscles used to release a cute pain or chronic tension.
Sports Massage focuses on the muscles relevant to a particular athletic activity, is shorter in time length and more vigorous than most techniques. Applied pre-event, post-event and to specific problem areas.
AQUA MASSAGE
Treat yourself to a full body massage with 36 pulsating, heated water jets. Personally adjust the water pressure and pulsation frequency for maximum enjoyment and benefit! And you don’t get undressed, wet or oily!
How it Works
- A person remains clothed and dry.
- Spray bar has 36 water jets that travel the full length of the body
- Massaging 3 sides of the body – like 36 fingers
- Pulsating water jets adjust from 2 cycles per second to 10 cycles per second.
- Water pressure can adjust from 2 to 10 pounds of water jet force.
- Water temperature can be adjusted form approximately 88 degrees to 104 degrees
- The Aqua Massage unit is self-contained and needs no plumbing.
